Why won’t the Democrat Party apologize for its role in past racial injustices?

Almost all of the past racial bad actors were Democrats. Why won’t the party acknowledge this and apologize today?

I've said it a few times here, but I believe in full reparations to the descendants of slaves and jim crow. The DNC should fund the bill since the democrats were the party behind it.

Didn’t they take down some of their civil war monuments? 
Maybe they thought that would be easier than actually coming out and saying:
“Hey guys, sorry about the whole slavery thing and trying to break away from the Union and start our own country. Oh and Jim Crow. And fighting desegregation, that’s our bad. Oh and mandatory minimum sentencing. And ignoring the crack epidemic, sorry about that one too. And we kinda forgot about inner cities altogether. Anyway, vote for us.”
Maybe they thought that would be easier than actually coming out and saying:

Dems seem pretty keen on erasing things that remind us of slavery: statues, team mascots, flags, etc. Shouldn't they want to eliminate the Democrat party, too? The party that once had a national convention slogan of, "This is a white man's country. Let white men rule."

I don't know why they haven't, but they shouldn't for the same reason that white people shouldn't apologize for slavery and why today's German government shouldn't apologize for the Holocaust. People should not apologize and should not be expected to apologize for something that was done by their ancestors and in which they had no part.

It's time. It's time to explain to the Country (and World) why he, a mega-rich business Superstar, was a staunch supporter of the "workers" party of old, the Democrats. Why wasn't he supporting his fellow wealthy... the elite, the Republicans?
Let us have the most powerful man in the world (and master of influence), have a direct communication line to explain how his core values align well with JFK Democrats, but over the past 50 years the so-called "blue collar" Democrat party has abandoned John & Jane Q. Worker. Proof is in the politically corrupt trade deals...
As a proud American, The President of the United States can explain how his former Party (Democrat) is now the "worker-burden" Party. The Party of higher spending and higher taxes, the Party of closing industries through regulation, the Party of flooding domestic communities with cheap foreign labor which makes AMERICA's (legal) impoverished even more poor.
These ideologic changes by the Left are now in direct contrast with his belief in the workforce... a key asset to his corporate empire. Let us hear again how his blue-collar employees repeated state their love of DJT...
Lastly... he can also emphasize his disgust with the anti-Americanism trend by the Democrats. Proud Americans (like DJT), just can't be part of that.
Please Jesus let the President explain to everyone why he chose to leave the Democrat Party...

Don't apologize just state that it happened and people have advantages and disadvantages from it. That's all. Also stop with the white washing of American history. Christopher Columbus didn't discover anything. Just to give you an example
