Why Trump’s NC GOP Speech last night was very important

1. He announced his endorsement for NC Senator. He did it early so that he would be able to take sides in the primary - and make sure he crowned his person. That’s some smart king making.
2. He announced what I think will be major legislative themes for the 2022 midterms (much like: build the wall, no more endless wars, help the VA, and shitty trade deals were in 2016); and the runaway success that was the Contract With America. Trump rambles but the best part about Trump as a campaigner is that you knew EXACTLY what his goals were. Unlike President * Twitter Platitudes. Having a unified MAGA policy agenda is gonna be great for 2022 Midterms. Will create buzz and support and help candidates win on the merits, instead of seeing who can out crazy who.
3. His most significant policy initiative was Reparations Against Chy-Na for the Lab Leak. I love it in every way. He wants 100 percent tariffs on their imports. I’m fine if we get some Nurembergesque Trial against these bastards and as a penalty they forgive our debt.
4. The most touching part of his speech was where he discussed ending endless wars and talking to the survivors. I’m glad he’s signaled that his ppl getting endorsements are going to have an agenda to stop this nonsense of going to endless war for no reason.
5. He signaled that border security is important in part bc ppl coming over are from Middle East and other places that are coming in over our southern border. It is a national security problem. And always has been.
6. His biggest applause line was something to the effect that “they say I’m destroying Democracy when I’m actually trying to save it.” Actual Republicans are still pissed about the Nov 3 - because it was completely unaddressed. It ain’t going away, and will hopefully be finally litigated in an impeachment proceeding in 2023
Trump wins on policy. Every time. His ideas are popular. You can bitch all you want about his Tweets and his demeanor - but a leader sets the agenda, and I like all he’s placing on the menu for 2022.
God willing he will pull it off, and he takes the gavel
from Nancy as speaker, and leadership of Congress from the Turtle and Feckless McCarthy. That is my absolute hope.
#MAGA y’all.

Obama set the new rules on ex presidents getting involved. Every president before him basically shut the frick up and went to the undying lands of the presidency.
But Barack kept on chiming in repeatedly. Now every president will do it probably for a very long time if not forever. Another historical precedent out the window.

Well, had he lost and not kept his promise, that would have been disappointing; as it would be the 1st campaign/political promise he had broken
but since he won (by a lot); there is no need for him to stay silent

You’re an idiot. Seriously. That man is a TRUE leader who really cares for the country and people he leads. You voted for mirage created by the media. Biden and Kamala are as fake and useless as I’ve ever seen.

Did he finally say something about his supporters being held in solitary confinement for walking around the Capitol?
Did he name Ashli Babbitt's killer?

All his plans are moot unless he gets more allies in the swamp. Trump is doing the necessary things to win, but he needs deep cover operatives and I'm not sure that'll be so easy as putting on a rally.

He’s trying to do that by getting a legislative majority behind him in Congress.
He’s playing the long game to do precisely what you suggest

He didn’t lose.
Trump won big.

I bet when the sun rises in the morning and it looks like Trump, you will scream at the sun.

As much as I agree that what is being done to the unauthorized Capitol tourists is a travesty, I think he is doing better by them to not wade into those waters (ETA: at this time).
The fricking corrupt judges in D.C. have and would use such statements to cite a continued threat of muh inch erection against them (as fricked up as it is to write such things in America, this is where we are).
