Why not start capitalizing White?

Since apparently "Black" now must be capitalized for PC reasons, and refers to those who are African-American, Somali, Egyptian, etc.. Why not make White a proper noun, since it refers to Americans of European descent - Anglo-American, German-American, Irish-American, etc.
