Why is twitter overall so liberal? Re tax bill

You can usually tell whether a tweet is positively or negatively accepted based on the reply to like ratio. When there are far more replies than likes, the tweet is getting blasted by angry followers in replies

John McCain and Susan Collins were getting 4 replies for every like on their tweets announcing their support for GOP tax bill

The amount of hysteria over a law that really doesn't affect your life that much is incredible

Why is actress Alyssa Milano tweeting about it? Why is jk Rowling?

I don't know anyone in my age bracket except for outspoken feminists and liberals who actually tweet. It has become a circle jerk for leftists.

Whats concerning is how the Dems did this exact thing of bullrushing a BS healthcare bill that nobody had read... and they were called out for it rightfully so

Flashforward a few years and now the Repubs are doing the same thing, with pages of handwritten/ illegible writing on the bills.

This isn't how this should go at all.

Free phones and no jobs. They have all the time in the world to tweet. Conservatives have to work to pay for their phones and welfare. Pretty simple.

Even if this is comparable to ACA, which it is not, I hope the Left enjoys their own medicine.

Because (a.) Twitter is a liberal cesspool, and (b.) liberals are sheep that either can’t or don’t want to think for themselves.

You read my mind.

I guess I am old too because in my mind tweeting seems womanly.

I have no research on it but dollars to donuts, people who use Twitter regularly are likely less common in flyover country

bullshite.

This gets said all the time and it's BS. the ACA wasn't passed in nearly the same way this was. You act like the ACA was snuck in overnight. The whole process took about 6 months.

In June and July 2009, with Democrats in charge, the Senate health committee spent nearly 60 hours over 13 days marking up the bill that became the Affordable Care Act. That September and October, the Senate Finance Committee worked on the legislation for eight days — its longest markup in two decades. It considered more than 130 amendments and held 79 roll-call votes.

The full Senate debated the health care bill for 25 straight days before passing it on Dec. 24, 2009.

Maybe just maybe that's because healthcare is enormously more complex than marginal changes to the tax code

People are apoplectic over a law that will affect people's income by 1-4%

I'm just tired of the outrage and hysteria

No, this was not comparable to ACA.

The ACA was not passed at 2 in the morning with lobbyists' handwritten provisions in the margins of the version of the bill that was actually passed.

The ACA was passed after extensive debate in congress over a period of more than 6 months. Only Fox news devotees buy into the rhetoric that the ACA was bullrushed through.

You must be one of those.
