Not making excuses for their inaction, but did you follow the Daniel Penny example at all?
People warned that Daniel Penny being arrested and indicted for second degree murder and criminally negligent homicide over the death of that POS “friendly neighborhood” Michael Jackson impersonator would result in people not getting involved in incidents like this.
Idk if that’s what happened here, but it certainly makes you wonder.

Politically I could see them trying, but it creates an unnecessary (and possibly difficult) step.
The murder charge is open-shut.
This reminds me of the case in BR a few years ago where a black guy attacked a dad at a gas station and the population emotionally revolted b/c the DA didn't go for the hate crime charge when they had an open-shut 2nd degree battery that led to a habitual offender finding, which was the optimal plan. The emotions took over for many, though.

Hate crime designation doesn't apply when it happens that way... only the other way around, which hardly ever happens. The media and liberals would have to admit that no demographic is committing more hate crimes for the last few decades than black people. That whole "white supremacists are the biggest threat of violence in this nation" narrative being pedaled by the mainstream media and Democrats would go right out the window.

I'm fully aware of the Daniel Penny case, but I for one, will not let that debacle of justice impede on my upbringing. I was always taught to help someone in need and that's what I will do. The rest is up to God.
Let's say the monster suddenly stabbed another victim and was still a threat, how many times is enough?

Whether it is or is not they are prosecuting it under another federal law that deals with murder on mass transit. Taking this out of the local DA and Judges hands...
