They love to use the race card but in all actuality, the Government does not want people to remember it was once rebelled against by its citizenry.
I assume it fly again one day.

There is no national ban of said flag.

Multiple states use the battle flag as part of their state flag
Alabama:
Florida:
Georgia’s flag is straight up the confederate states flag with a seal in the circle which they changed in 2003 because people didn’t like the battle flag.

I'll take "how to get banned" for 1,000, Ken.

Alabamas flag was originally square until 1987. Then ag siegleman decided it didn't have to be because the law didn't describe dimensions other than width of the bars of St Andrew's cross

Correction: Georgia’s dipshit governor Roy Barnes didn’t like the battle flag. He (and the legislature) never allowed the citizens to vote on the version with the battle flag.

Mississippi called to tell you that a statewide citizen vote doesn’t matter in this country. It’s all about $$$ and slimy politicians.

Mississippi citizens voted on the inclusion of the Confederate emblem in their state flag in a 2001 referendum, where they overwhelmingly chose to keep the 1894 flag that featured the Confederate battle cross in its canton. With 94 percent of ballots counted, 65 percent of voters supported retaining the existing flag, while 35 percent favored a new design without the Confederate symbol. This decision left Mississippi as the only U.S. state to officially display the Confederate battle flag on its state flag.
But wait…who cares what citizens vote for…

However, in June 2020, following nationwide protests over racial injustice after the murder of George Floyd, the Mississippi Legislature voted to remove the Confederate-themed flag. The state House and Senate passed legislation to retire the flag, remove it from public buildings, and establish a commission to design a new one. Governor Tate Reeves signed the bill into law on June 30, 2020, officially ending the 1894 flag's status. A new design, known as the "In God We Trust Flag" and featuring a magnolia blossom surrounded by stars on a red, gold, and blue background, was proposed by the Commission to Redesign the Mississippi State Flag. This design was put to voters in a referendum on November 3, 2020, and was approved by 72.98% of voters. The new flag officially became the state's symbol after being signed into law by Governor Reeves on January 11, 2021. Voters were not given the option to retain the previous Confederate-based flag in the 2020 vote

Didn’t something like this happen at Ole Miss with Col Reb and the flag as well? The students overwhelmingly were in support of it (including the black athletes) and they were basically told tough shite it’s getting changed.

Ole Miss completely abandoned most of its heritage.
