"Unconditional support"?
I mean we have treaties with other nations (such as NATO) that are pretty strong in what sort of support we owe them in very defined circumstances. But, I'm not sure we have ever offered "unconditional" support to anyone nor would I be comfortable with that notion.
It seems like another instance of Biden/aides thinking certain words sound neat, but not really thinking through what they really mean because - well - at heart it is all just for show and we are cluelessly full of shite.

Biden avows to be a Roman Catholic. There is a Roman Catholic idea/tradition/practice of genuflecting toward the presence of the consecrated Eucharist, which is seen as a believer as prostrating him or her self in reverence to the actual Body of Christ (God), but there is really no other occasion or circumstance where a Roman Catholic would be expected (or arguably warranted) to direct such devotion.
This is not a Catholic church and I'm not sure what he considers himself "genuflecting" toward in this instance and in this Church. It would certainly be interesting to get HIS Roman Catholic understanding of what it was.
