Why I don't buy the Roy Moore accusations

You watch enough sexual predator cases, you see certain patterns and characteristics. Its like con artists, the perps rarely do it just one time. Very rarely. If this guy was indeed chasing underage girls, then other women would have similar stories. However, 40 years later and just before the election? Please.
This guy has had everything thrown at him over the years. The media loves to make fun of him. They would have gone nuts over this if it was out there. If she is the only "victim", then the story is probably fake.

Fact is, he's a bumpkin from North Alabama, and that's how he's always rolled. His current wife is 14 years younger. Not that unbelievable at all.

didn't know that. Article I read only cited one. Like I said, if there is a pattern, then that's different. Just been in politics too much for something like that to suddenly come out on someone who is a public figure for so long. If he's a perv, then he's a perv. Just have a bias against 40 or 50 year old accusations.

I'm not saying these things happened, I'm saying it's definitely not out of the question.
The guy is a product of his environment. I'd be very interested to know what his parents were like. I could make some assumptions that would probably be accurate.

The timing is the most suspicious part. Moore was an assistant DA at the time, not some nobody. She could have ruined his career right there if she wanted.

I hate the guy and i’m somewhat skeptical of the accusations. Without tangible evidence, i dont think this makes a difference.

I think this is valid, but I'm not sure the pattern you mention aligns with what is being said about Moore.
I'm not defending Moore if he did it, but the stories sound like he was a guy who was probably pushed by circumstances into trying to build relationships with younger girls. It doesn't really strike me as a "I'm into peeing on girls and wild shite and now I'm trying out pedo stuff" situation. My guess is that he was a dork, honestly, not some practiced predator.
So in that regard, I could see the stories being true (one arguable assault, some other underage girls he flirted/dated without and lewdness going on).

1979 probably wasn't exactly the most welcome time period for a 14 year old girl to go to war with an assistant DA in rural Alabama
I think the timing is suspicious, but I don't really have an issue with her not raising it at the time or for some years thereafter. I do think it's somewhat suspect that a guy that a lot of the country has hated for some time didn't have this dirt come up at a prior point.

The world wasn’t some object lesson in virtue 40 to 60 years ago.
If anything, it was sexually-predator ridden to the point where it was common practice to just ‘take it’. Look at the Catholic Clergy. Look at Bill Cosby and the rest of Hollywood. We have had sitting presidents (JFK/Bill Clinton) openly cheating on their wives. This shite wasn’t random occurrences. It was practice.
The advent of technology—cellphones, cameras, the internet—it appears to have changed all that. These pervs are more cautious.
So yeah I totally believe a lot of shite happened ‘undercover’ 40 years ago. And the balls are dropping now.
They are literally sagging for some of these old pervs.

Understandable.
This was apparently a longstanding rumor in Gadsden, and there are a heck of a lot of weirdly specific common details among the accounts, but it is weird that this is just now popping up.
