Why does the TRUMP family not have a dog in the White House yet?

What was the last first family to not have a dog? I am surprised the media has not criticized him over this.

According to those stories last week about Pickles Pence and Marlon Bundo Pence, TRUMP feels that pets are "white trash" and should not live in the WH or the VP mansion.
Remember that a TRUMP supporter and member of Mar a Lago had reserved a choice Goldendoodle pupper for young Master Barron and that fizzled. TRUMP obviously does not like doggos (unlike Hitler).

Pope said she notified Trump, whom she has known for more than two decades, about the Goldendoodle in writing and showed him a photo of the pooch at the Trumps’ recent Thanksgiving event at their Mar-a-Lago home.
