Why does the Republican party suck so bad?

Just talked with the chairman of my county Republican party. We were talking about some upcoming meetings, and he said alot of the members were still too uncomfortable to do in person meetings and have been doing the meetings by zoom.
This tells me everything I need to know. These dolts will fall in line with whatever big brother, aka the Dems, tell them they should go along with. Most of them old, useless white guys just going through the motions and still trusting all the institutions.

How much time you got, Buddy?

All bark and no bite. Been like that for YEARS

You got that right. The biggest example of this was Obamacare repeal and replace. They barked and barked about this for eight years, and when they had the opportunity to make it happen, they crawled back in their holes. That was pathetic.

Are you talking about the members for the meetings or the GOP in general? Its pretty reasonable for really old people to be a little more cautious about public gatherings.

Don't blame the GOP. Nobody saw this coming. Give credit to the Dems for neutralizing religion in our lives and making ANYTHING legal - or illegal - depending on whatever circumstances most benefit the dear crazies.

The people running things, so yes the people at the meetings. Can't get to mad at them, if no one young wants to get involved. But that's who we have running things.

Because doing the right thing is never the easy or popular thing to do.

I just sent this to my Republican State Senator
quote:
Hello Senator Nelson, what is your voting position on House Bill 1927 (Constitutional Carry)?
Just to express an opinion, I have a CCL, but frankly, the required hoops to go through to get it were a waste of time and resources. I already have a requirement to undergo a background check, so all that a CCL requirement does is to create criminal behavior out of citizens who may suddenly need to carry protection but are unable to "legally" because of the burdensome requirements. The right to bear arms is enumerated in the U.S. Constitution and nowhere does it pass to the states any authority to regulate that constitutional right by the state.
I would appreciate you sharing your vote position and not an answer that seeks to walk a line between affirming the law or rejecting the law. Republicans and conservatives have supported this change in the law, and in spite of Lt. Governor Patrick's lukewarm approach, Republicans in the House passed this bill by an overwhelming majority and we expect the Republicans in the Texas Senate to not abandon its constituents.
Thank you for your service to all Texans and may God bless you as you consider your decision on this issue.
All the best,
HB

They're covered with footprints...all from left feet.

Olds are super terrified of the batflu and of death in general. They will sacrifice the education and lives of an entire generation of young people to put it off the inevitable by just a tiny bit. Republicans are indeed pathetic cucks and bribe takers, but I don’t think this issue in particular is a republican problem.

“I’m too uncomfortable to open the floor to public opinion. There’s a good deal of people who hate the way the party is going and my leadership of this group. I don’t want to lose leadership. Therefore, we won’t have public discussions where I could be overruled.” - Him, if he were telling the truth.
