Simply put it’s all about making money. Remdesivir costs a heck of a lot more.

Do you know a bunch of doctors who own hospital pharmacies or something? Otherwise I don’t know how they would make money off remdesivir. What about the numerous doctors online prescribing ivermectin and getting to charge people visits where they actually make money? Those are the good guys in your opinion?

Right. Docs prescribing ivermectin are making a whole heck of a lot more than docs that don’t. I’ve seen ridiculous “Covid” cash only teleheath visits. I’d love to know how to get on the remdesivir payroll.

Dude the pharmaceutical lobby lobbying doctors to prescribe their companys drugs is well documented. Its worse than the Washington lobby.

Ya know, a scant couple of years ago, the idiotic, disgusting, traitorous pieces of dog vomit on the Left were calling Big Pharma ""eeeeeeeeevil", now, all of a sudden, they are the Messiah to whom EVERY freedom must be sacrificed to.....

I can tell you that when I saw my doctor for my physical, I asked about the j&j vaccine. He then told me that he got the Pfizer shot through the trial….and thats what he recommended. At no point would he answer my questions about j&j. I found that extremely off putting.

I am from a family of Pharmacists and other medical professionals. Yes, doctors get incentives from drug companies for writing scrips for certain meds. Usually these are for drugs under patent and new to the market. I have no idea if anyone is getting incentives on covid drugs. Also in smaller rural type areas it is not unusual for doctors to be part or primary owners of the local pharmacy.

Wait are you under the impression that doctors don't get money from pharmaceutical companies?

Each year from 2014 to 2018, drug and medical device companies spent between $2.1 billion and $2.2 billion paying doctors for speaking and consulting, as well as on meals, travel and gifts for them.

I know vets don't.

But I wonder about human doctors sometimes. I could go on with anecdotal stuff but it's not worth it.

This part is true, Dr's have to do continuing education credits and whatnot, attend seminars, in order to keep their license, so pharmas will sponsor them and wine and dine them and whatnot. But we're talking about a couple of steak dinners and a nice hotel room, provide the events/speakers that counts as the continuing education credit, nothing really nefarious. This is the kind of thing that happens in pretty much all businesses that require continuing ed credits to maintain state licensure.

I don’t think you have any clue how tightly that stuff is regulated first of all.

Second of all 99% of the doctors in the communities that the posters on this website live in will get absolutely no lobbying for remdesivir.

They also make the exact same thing for writing a script of ivermectin vs Tylenol vs remdesivir which is the cost of the visit.

There’s a market of people looking for easy ivermectin scripts right now so any doctor looking to make an easy buck can set up virtual visits to become the ivermectin pill mill.

The hospital will bill the insurance agency. Every time your barcode is scanned that’s enough thing put on your tab. Ivermectin helps people recover from Covid. Sick people keep hospitals open

Well because of Obama and Biden doctors are more likely to work for large companies.

Large companies want the covid money. They get more money from a covid vacc then giving treatment not paid for and not reimbursed by the government at a higher rate.

Doctors don't make shite off of any of it. And remdesivir doesn't help for shite and may well make things worse. I'd refuse it.
