Why do demonstrators think using "F*** (insert name)" empowers them?

Do they feel this makes their thoughts even more pronounced? Do they think this is "shock" demonstrating which will lead to more people listening to what they are saying?
Do they not understand that it effectively shuts down their own argument in the majority of peoples minds about what they have to say?
What is the overall thought process behind it?

Because that's what they're being paid to scream.
These "protesters" are nothing more than useful idiots.

To be fair "(insert name)" has been a real a-hole and has deserved this rebuke!

In a conspiracy theorist way, I would expect the conservatives to pay them to say stuff like this, not a group that is looking to forward their agenda.

Over use of the F-word usually denotes low class and a lack of education.

Why do anti-demonstrators think the same?

That's what I've always been told. When you can't argue facts with nothing but fu you've pretty much resigned yourself to being a dumbass.

Probably because they are dumbasses.

Your defense of them is to post a psychopath doing the same thing?

I actually don't have a problem with anyone posting on a site "F*** Trump" or whatever. It does annoy the hell out of me the illogical use of screaming it in a public setting as if it is a powerful statement when it actually does the exact opposite of what they are trying to do.
Seriously, yelling "Stop Ben Shapiro" would make people actually try to listen to what Shapiro has done to make people want to stop him. "F*** Ben Shapiro" means people gawk at the idiots and film them to post on their wall.

I didn't defend anybody, but I'll say this: the f word doesn't bother me. It's just a sound. "I'm going to kill your kids!"... now THAT would bother me.

Are you threatening flyAU's kids now?

I don't think you are understanding my question. I asked why anyone would be dumb enough to use language that automatically sabotages their message. Jumping to extremes normally is a warning sign to anyone around that they should stay away from you or what you are trying to say.
Illogical in every aspect except to show "how much I hate this person!!!!"

For the sake of accuracy, studies actually show more intelligent people tend to curse more.
