Why Didn't Mueller Clear Trump of Collusion 1.5 years ago?

Could it have been that Mueller knew obstruction was the only real play to get Trump?

Could it have been to help the Democrats in 2018?

This is the only question that really matters. The only one.

In short, Mueller was of the brigade that wanted to see Trump go down.

Probably has more to do with keeping that money train going than anything else

Mueller strung this thing out long enough and with just enough political tact to hand it off to the dem congress so that they can run with it through the 2020 election.

Put pressure on Trump, and turning congress over would kill any investigation into the origins of this, and Uranium one...

They drug it out to bait Trump into obstrution.

ETA: the mid terms, handicapping the administration from reaching goals and the cash for he and his team were bonuses too.

They knew that obstruction would be their only play. They did numerous things to try to provoke action or statements that could be the foundation of charges for obstruction.

The longer Mueller took, the more they could frustrate Trump, hoping for something to sink their teeth in. Meanwhile, the MSM could “try” him in the court of public opinion. Even if they could not get clear cut “evidence” of a crime, they could influence the 2020 election.

The Dems play the long game, while at the same time, try to snipe at ANYTHING on a daily basis, hoping something gains traction.

Weissman met with Ohr before he was even put on the SC and Ohr told him the dossier was dubious and paid for by Clinton. He surely told Mueller, thats why Mueller asked for new marching orders, in writing, from Rosenstein three weeks after he started, and Rosenstein still refuses to release those orders.

For the last year and a half its all been about obstruction. The media leaks, the morning raids, all to goad Trump into doing something that could be deemed obstruction, and even that failed.

Mueller should have stayed retired, but he was forced to head it up to keep an honest SC from looking into everything Russia and the corrupt U1 coverup by Mueller and Rosenstein.

It’s like Bongino says, obstruction is a 100% subjective charge.

It’s the police’s version of disorderly conduct. What one officer calls disorderly can vary greatly from another.

Also don't forget that Peter Strzok phone was cleared while on the Mueller team so that his text messages could not be provided.

Think of how fricked up it is to be finished with an investigation after 6 months and spend the next 18 months trying to bait the president into some bullshite charge like obstructing your fake investigation. It really is time to go on offense and destroy these deep state tyrants and their commie brethren in Congress.

Russia gate proved to be BS. So how can one obstruct justice in relation to a non crime?

Mueller's bogus investigation was the "insurance policy" referenced in the emails between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

That really is all you need to know about this deep state operation against Donald Trump. They were confident Hildabeast was a shoo-in. Anybody but Trump...the outsider.

Drain the Swamp Mr. President!

Lock her up!

I imagine Mueller will be asked this by GOP reps when he testifies in May.

There really is no good answer for leaving media speculation about literal treason and Russian kompromat and all that bullshite out there for 2 years.

After Muller was appointed by Trump’s own appointed Justice Department officials, and began his investigation under the supervision of the Trump appointee, he was instructed to finish the investigation.

Did we miss the part of the scope memo that required Mueller to keep the investigation going for a year and a half after he had determined the dossier was fake and collusion wasn’t real?

2 months after Mueller took over, he asked for an expanded scope. To look into obstruction. Because he had nothing on collusion.
