Why Can't Democrats/Liberals Define What a "Living Wage" is?

AOC and Amazon are having a little pissing contest over wages and AOC is invoking the all mighty "Living Wage" talking points:
AOC Wants Amazon To Pay a Living Wage
I've heard this phrase used for decades and to my knowledge this party has never defined what that should be. You would think that something that is so fundamental to a party would have defined parameters. Why can't they?
"Living Wage" is the biggest pile of bullshite that weak minded liberals eat up because they think flipping burgers for 25 hours a week for the rest of their lives should afford them an income to support a lifestyle for this entry level job.

Because, like with most of their platforms, they haven't decided what it means yet.

Because nothing costs the same across the country it obviously differs. But general consensus is 15 an hour. It's just smart politics. Using a term "living wage" probably sells well.

And then after it's 15, it'll be 17. Then 20. Then 25.

A living wage is simply a wage that allows you to have the necessities in life.
Food, a nice house in a desirable hip city, cell phones, TV, internet, nice clothes, a car or two that's not too old, money for social activities, etc.
Is that too much to ask?

Empty words to fill empty minds.
Here are a couple more "social justice" and "comprehensive immigration reform".

Well yeah part of that is inflation
We've been stuck at the same minimum wage forever. It's foolish to think it'd be easy or feasible for democrats to suddenly get it to 25 when they can't even get it to 15.

Things should cost what they cost. The US government should stop subsidizing wages via welfare, and the wages demanded in the market would cover living expenses.
When the government covers those living expenses, wages no longer have to.
AOC is hard R retarded.

Minimum wage is just a bad union negotiator. Eliminate it, or just let it be so low that businesses can't even think about bringing it to the table or people won't be so stupid to take a minimum wage job and still be eligible for benefits.

Apparently, it’s enough money for someone to be able to have everything they desire.

Well ya. It says in the Constitution we have a right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" Everyone should be paid enough to be able to pursue their happiness.

. . . or what Affordable Housing is.
. . . or what Medicare for All is.
. . . or what Food Security is.
. . . or Reparations, Gender Equality, Income Inequality, Net Neutrality, Climate Change . . . ad infinitum.
They promise solutions for problems that they can't define. That's what they do. All you really need to know is . . . their promises are fueled with your resources.

A living wage is the minimum income necessary for a worker to meet their basic needs.[3] Needs are defined to include food, housing, and other essential needs such as clothing. The goal of a living wage is to allow a worker to afford a basic but decent standard of living.[4] Due to the flexible nature of the term "needs", there is not one universally accepted measure of what a living wage is and as such it varies by location and household type.[5]

Living wage is objectively calculated by costs of things in your location. Anacoco, Louisiana is not going to have the same type as NYC, New York.

As a person on the left, in some cases they do have answers for these policies but they're so complicated and they do such a horrible job of selling them that they don't work.

Due to the ‘never have enough’ principle, a living wage is always just a little bit more than the current wage.
