A lot of older people used to be Dems because they were union workers and voted on one issue: Republicans are for the rich man. Democrats are for the working man.
Those people have switched to republican because they are America first and don't mind being white. That conflicts with modern Dem messages.

I believe it has much to do with the education being taught the last 20 ish years. Especially in the larger urban areas. The DOE was infiltrated decades ago by the Marxist ideology. Obama made it worse. Slowly, the founding principles of our nation have been pushed aside for the progressive/racial bullshite resulting in what we see today in the Dems insane ideology.
It's great to see the pendulum swinging back right with the America First movement.

I’ve worked since I was 17 (3 jobs at one point while in college, had this weird stint at a funeral home LOL). I don’t need nor want a handout. Don’t mind getting my hands dirty and grinding. At the same time, I don’t mind my tax dollars being used RESPONSIBLY (keyword) to be a safety net for the vast majority of the populace. Jmo

Both of those seem to have partisan leanings then. Most of the other articles did as well and used the other two articles as their support. The treasury site graph of the deficits over the years didn’t have a separated of covid related spending versus not so adding up the deficits gives no context. Only thing we know for sure is that we somehow keep hitting that debt ceiling
