Typical conversation between a Boomer (B) and Moronial (M)

M. There aren't any good paying jobs.
B. They need truckers, that pays well.
M. Oooh, I don't want to be on the road all of the time.

B. CAD/CAM Machinists are in demand and make good money.
M. Oooh, I don't want to work in a factory.

B. Oil jobs pay well.
M. Gross, and be in the heat and cold all day?

B. Fisherman make good money
M. It's too dangerous, and you're stuck on a boat all day.

B. Northwest needs loggers, they make good money.
M. And be in the cold and snow? no way.

B. What do you want to do?
M. Make 100k working from home.
B. Well then major in Computer Science or Engineering.
M. No way, that's too difficult. And be on call 24/7?

B. Well then what is your gameplan?
M. I don't know, there aren't any jobs.

Well, boomers did start the welfare state so they do hold much of the blame for the state of our country today.

This^^^^^….lol! When I ask my daughter what’s your plan to get a job that pays enough where you’re not reliant on your parents…..she thinks I’m hassling her.

When boomers were born was America $30T in debt? Could you pay for college with a summer job? Could you buy a home and a car and support a family with one blue collar salary? Was divorce pretty much unheard of? Did your generation protest the war in Vietnam and then turn around and vote to send my generation to Iraq? Did you grow up in an era where America was the only major country in the world not decimated by WW2 which led to unheard of levels of prosperity?

These might be some of the reasons why millennials complain about the generation born on third who thinks they hit a triple. Not only did you have everything handed to you, you destroyed this country and then turn around and mock the younger generations for the shite show you’ve created. Sad.

Quite literally, a working man with a family of 5 back in the 60s could reasonably expect (without a college education) to fairly easily afford a home and food if he just worked his hours. You're simply being willfully blind if you won't admit that those conditions no longer persist. In many markets, the most industrious young people around might still struggle to accumulate the down payment on the most modest place they can find.

You speak about boomers and jobs in the 1960s.

Boomers are people born between 1946 and 1964.
A 1964 Boomer graduated HS in 1982, college in 1986.

What the hell does the job market and cost of living in the 1960s have to do with a Boomer that entered the work force in the mid 1980's?

The people that entered the post ww2 booming economy were born in the late 20's to early 30's.

The first Boomer didn't graduate HS until 1964 and college until 1968.

Most Moronials that rant about Boomers don't even have a clue about the years that Boomers were born.

To them a Boomer is just "someone older than me that's doing well and obviously were born with a silver spoon and handed a golden ticket"

True, but the boomers had the chance to end that nonsense. I guess we could say we've had a chance every year since, but now it's expected.

Born on 3rd base & think they hit a triple.

Mix in some liberal beta MSM, education, diet & presto.. you get a weak arse bitch.

For those who allowed it to happen under their watch/with their kids, you are more than guilty.

At this point, it would take every generation alive to end the welfare state. Boomers being first among us.

ETA: It's sad that y'all can't just admit how much you screwed it up.

First off this whole Boomer/ Millinieal thing is stupid. You have great people in all generations and you have some shitty people in all generations. Second my mother and father who are Boomers has 3 children 1 Gen X ,and 2 Millinieals. Of their 3 children 2 of us are Millionaires and the other has a great job married with children and we are all productive members of society and all are more successful than our parents by certain metrics. We take care of our parents. While I can I agree that there are many in my generation that are soft, you have to remember many of us were raised by Boomers. Boomers have certain advantages we did not and vice versa.

This is what really makes me laugh. They demand personal responsibility of everyone else and have no expectation of that for themselves.

fricking hypocrites.

The disadvantage is compared to Boomers the younger generations have come to expect more than they have earned or deserve.,..same thing my Greatest Generation father told his children

No that’s not typical and your usage of “moronial” makes you look like a dumb shite FYI

Very odd how all the boomers in this thread are trying to convince everyone how tough they all had it

Incomes haven’t kept pace with the price of literally everything. This presents challenges. Every boomer in this thread keeps ignoring the posts that point this out. Weird.
