Public Welfare Expenditures
In 2019, state and local governments spent $744 billion on public welfare, or 22 percent of direct general spending.2 As a share of direct general state and local spending, public welfare was the largest expenditure in 2019. It was the second-largest expenditure from 1977 to 2014, behind only elementary and secondary education. However, when looking at only state and local funds (i.e., excluding federal transfers), spending on public welfare still trails spending on elementary and secondary education. That's because roughly two-thirds of Medicaid spending is provided by the federal government, while typically less than a tenth of elementary and secondary education spending comes from federal funds.
We raised SNAP by 114% since this report came out
Weird. That's an oddly similar increase to our housing, healthcare and education costs.

In a trailer outside of Pumpkin Center.
You understand that a lot of people have to live close to where they work, right?
Ain't too many jobs near Pumpkin Center.
But I'm glad it's working for them.
My young niece lives with a couple of kids in a trailer as a stay at home mom in the middle of nowhere and the boyfriend works out of state 6 days a week.
It works for them.

Look up what the mortgage rate was in 1986 and compare it to today. Edit: David beat me to it.
This is funny bc I calculated the interest on both their mortgage on that house and my current mortgage on a slightly larger house and over the life of a 30 year fixed loan I will pay DOUBLE the amount of interest.

Gave him zero towards his house in Baton Rouge. Same amount I gave his brother and his wife in Portsmouth New Hampshire towards their house or his youngest brother in Dallas towards his. Not every young person is looking for a handout and whining about it if they get turned down.

Looking at some of the older people on here I’d be ashamed to call them part of my family.

Why are Moronials such whiny losers that blame all of their failures on Boomers?
This Boomer vs Millennial crap is false flag BS. It's designed to encourage Government access to funds which would otherwise pass sans taxation from one generation to the next.
Millennials are told to mistrust/disrespect boomers. Boomers are convinced to mistrust/disrespect millennials. Who wins in that instance?
Uncle"Greedy"Sam wins.

Where did this desire to be a victim come from?
Looking at the cost of tuition or the price of a home would be 2 common starting points, I imagine.

So who caused the 08 crisis? It was boomers buying 5 houses on all leverage. Shut the hell up you old clowns. The worst political climate in us history is because of boomers. And trying to brush over 08 like it was nothing

You're victimized by markets?
This is like racist freeways and vegetables. Okay.

I speak for only myself, but I have no problem trusting millennials. I think the whining you see in this thread isn't typical - at least that's the case with the millennials I know.
I just find some of the views expressed in this thread interesting. Guys with solid careers, houses, cars, etc., truly see themselves as victims - and at least in most cases, these same guys identify as conservative and pillory the likes of professional victim AOC in other threads.
You don't have to spend much time abroad to understand how remarkably spoiled Americans are, but it's still pretty weird to see this kind of whining.

The irony here is you’ve ignored irrefutable facts in this thread better than most leftists. You and AOC have much in common.
Trying to convince everyone 2+2=5

Top 23 companies that pay College tuition
There you go.
An unprecedented number of companies now pay College tuition for their employees.
So much for the "wah, you can't work your way through College these days".

LOL, I'm more financially secure than my mom could ever dream of.

Stop with the generational warfare. It’s not millennials. It’s leftists that happen to be millennials. Just call them leftists.
Also,
Good luck ever getting my help with Excel spreadsheets.
