So the WHO is "reporting" that the US had a record death day on April 30 with 2,909.

quote:

The WHO reported that 2,909 people in the U.S. died on Thursday, shattering the previous record of 2,471 deaths reported on April 23, CNBC reported.

quote:

The grim news comes as Americans grow weary of the stay-at-home measures that have shuttered businesses and put millions of people out of work. State leaders around the country continued to see protests from demonstrators who want to reopen the economy and return to their jobs. Demonstrations took place in California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee and Washington on Friday.

quote:

Data compiled by the WHO is different from data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as the CDC hasn't historically reported daily deaths from the pandemic. The agency's website says 2,349 people in the country died from the virus on May 1.

Interesting, just as momentum to open things back up starts the build the WHO comes in with "record" deaths for US. The WHO has done nothing but get in the way of things from the beginning and their covering for China in the beginning is why we are in this situation. Burn the WHO down!

Just wait until you see the May 3 situation report. It has 5,000 new deaths. Something tells me this is a backlog issue and is just a statistical anomaly. Their total US deaths still lag CDC numbers by a few thousand.

Except for the NY/NJ area, deaths per day are increasing nationwide. If the former's aren't falling fast enough, pretty easy to see the latter's more than making up for it.

If that were true, and everything we are doing is still shattering death records, it’s time to just hit the gas and let this thing do what it’s going to do. If you’re going through hell, don’t stop.

You haven't "fixed" anything. Quite the opposite, you are spreading ignorance.

People are really going to start getting frustrated with these lockdowns if we are not even at the peak yet.

Italy peaked like 2.5 weeks ago if not before that.

So far, every region that has peaked has been a lockdown peak. We aren't quite sure what a business as usual peak will look like.

In my town, every Walmart worker, building supply/hardware store worker, convenience store clerk and first responder is still alive and kickin’. I’m not anticipating things to change much.

Missouri locked down on April 6th. That was also roughly the peak of new cases per day.

What will the extended lockdown unemployment peak look like? How many more trillions do we need to go into debt before you get over your fear?
