After 911, WMDs, JFK, tapping Trump's wires, etc., etc. is there any reasonable person that gives blanket trust to our intelligence community?

I trust them explicitly to do what their masters tell them.

I find it funny that the Left is now knighting the folks who provided the intelligence that has us perpetually in the Middle East and other places around the globe.

I trust them to lie and kill people.
That's their job.
That's their job.

In general, you are on pretty safe ground if you assume that most things coming out of the IC and State Department are either substantially wrong, or designed to mislead you. Exhibit A: Syria, and our support for Jihadists there in an effort to overthrow President Assad.

"Blanket" trust for anybody is a not the smartest idea, but I'm a long ways away from ever trusting Russia.

My level of trust is somewhere in the ocean between blanket trust and Vladimir Putin.

It's not a believe our IC or believe Russia. We can be skeptical of both

I defiantly take all IC info with a grain of salt. I do realize there intention is to not necessarily mislead American citizens. There intent, most of the time, is to mislead our enemies.
With that said, I do believe there are people in the IC that mislead for the purpose of profit. That's usually were the conflict between the American people's interest and the personal interests of the IC conflict.

My level of trust for them is somewhere between Satan and Mohammed, probably closer to the latter given how heavily they have promoted him since 9-11.

I don't give trust to anyone; trust is earned and not overnight.

My thoughts exactly.
The IC, State, FBI and Specisl Council have been shown to be stacked with leftist idealogues at senior levels. They’ve been exposed to using their position to surveil Trump.
Mueller stacked his team with Hillary supporters and he had to scramble to find evidence after his first indictments were challenged.
Crowdstrike - who did all of the research to identify the “hackers” (I guess we don’t have intel people that can do this) - is owned by the Clinton and DNC machine.
RR brought his indictments right before Trumps meeting for optimum political impact.
I don’t believe any of it.

I'd rather live here than anywhere on Earth. I trust our IC more than any other place on Earth, with the exception of New Zealand.
We as a people really should realize that we are members of a very small percentage of the lucky sperm club. I understand questioning things, but some of the threads I've seen the past 24 hours has been downright shameful.

It's like the current crop of IC personnel is doing everything to not only tarnish their institutions but denigrate our trust in them.
