I can't nail down exactly when it happened for me, but I can tell you that it was a long time coming. I don't get excited about anything in the culture anymore because the culture is shite. Movies, TV, sports, no longer interest me. Elections? Could care less. 2020 made me as calloused on elections as can possibly be. I don't trust the government, or the courts anymore. I no longer respect or trust the military. Big city law enforcement increasingly leaves me unimpressed.

If 9/11 happened today, I honestly would not care. I was FURIOUS then. Now? Burning cities could only be an improvement. I don't have a country anymore. The generations seem to be shittier with each new iteration, the money printer is going BRRRRR, and of course, perversion is now the norm, and must be celebrated by diktat, or else.

Let it all burn.

I'm there as well. It happened 1/6/21.
That was a planned and planted riot and killing of an American (who also happened to be a veteran) by the Powers That Be. All in the house that the taxpayers should have FULL access to at all times.
I honestly don't care what happens anymore and that saddens me greatly. The American people allow(ed) this to happen and we are going to reap what we have sown. I will protect what is mine, but beyond that, they can have it.

Kind of, but it’s gonna suck because we all have to live through it.

But, if you’re going through hell, just keep going.

I'm struggling with that mindset. I have to remember that God has still called Christians to be in the world, so I can't stick my head in the sand like I want to.

If I were alone in the world I'd agree, but I'd be surprised if anyone here with children or grandchildren feels this way.

It's pretty soul-crushing when MSM, big tech/social media, academia, sports, entertainment, intelligence agencies, DOJ, and now military are all on the same side. We have a few political commentators and a few message boards. That's it. At least we get to blame China Joe when it all comes crashing down.

the last 30 years has been nothing but brainwashing and indoctrinating kids to be america hating socialists

if tomorrow every teaching arena was purged of leftists and propagandists it will still take another 30 years to see education return to teaching kids and them learning how great america is and the truth that socialism is a lie and progressives are scum

frick that. This is America and we will take it back one day. When we do, we don’t want to make bringing it back even harder than it already is going to be. We must remain involved in the political process and continue to vote for conservatives. The day we give up is the day we arrive at the moment we fear so much.

For me, it was the last 12 months in total where I came to the realization most Americans I share this country with don't hold the same values I do and don't value the country/Constitution or liberty they hold. They'd rather have oppression and 'security' and be told what to do.

Eh, I had rather it burn while I can support my children and potentially influence the situation than I had it to burn when I am too old or already passed on...

At this point, do you even doubt it is going to burn?
