Going with Desantis might not go the way people like. Trump voters aren't satisfied with the 2020 election fraud. They won't move on from Trump until he has a second term. I don't blame them.

BUT the state is NOT near to turning blue!
Yes it is. Dumb leadership by the state government brought in businesses that attract left wing professional class workers like flies on shite.
It's why I hate when these Republicans have ribbon cutting ceremonies for bringing in companies like Oracle/Tesla/Apple to Texas. All its going to do is import left wingers to work for said companies and change the political makeup of the state.
Blue states aren't stupid. It's why you don't see states like Massachusetts or Oregon opening up oil pipelines or manufacturing plants in their states. Because they know such businesses will attract right leaning workers into the state.
Republicans can no longer win a base election in Georgia. That wasn't true 8 years ago.

Trump. A lot of you forget that DeSantis is a politician who is good at saying anything you want to hear.

I just think its utterly foolish to assume every Trump voter will automatically back DeSantis.
I think DeSantis is a strong candidate, and the strongest non-Trump candidate for the GOP.
But Trump proved he could connect with that ancestral democrat vote like no other Republican ever has. DeSantis has won over Florida, but that is a state that has been moving to the right and doesn't have near as many ancestral working class democrats living there. But can he win over Ohio? Wisconsin? Pennsylvania? Michigan?

30,000 at a rally is great. They're there because they are the far right wing conservatives, and that group want to hear insults and "red meat"
That is not true, at all
I've got some friends and a close relative who were regular Trump rally goers, and I know the type "personalities"...hell, I'm one of'em, but I'm intelligent enough to realize that it ain't gonna get us a majority any more with that shtick.

They won't let Desantis win either. The Dems cheated before and they will keep doing it again.

Love or hate Trump, he is an American icon. Nothing against Desantis but Trump wins both informed and uninformed voters. The problem with Desantis is that he is a relatively unknown and the uninformed voters may not go for him because he is simply not Donald Trump. These voters know zero a bout politics but the Trump name has been in the minds of Americans for decades. The more a person knows an individual, they higher the chances they will get more support.

Trump easily, but they both have a better shot than Kamel toe in a fair election and will vote for either.

Because being VP gives Desantis more clout to run for POTUS once Trump finishes his 3rd term. Not to mention how Desantis changed Florida, he's also has the ability to appoint his successor as Governor in Florida. The only reason he would remain Governor is if he had ZERO ambition to go higher.
Also, those who claim Trump is polarizing are the same Democrat cucks who talked the Republicans into putting McCain as the nominee. A Republican they like, but still won't vote for.
It's Trump at the top whether you like it or not. Only way its Desantis is if Trump decides not to run.

What a difficult choice to have to make.
Between someone who has done well in one Deep South state, and someone who had no parliamentary experience at all, who showed that he could carry all the southern states and critical states like Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, i.e. of course assuming the national election is not another A.C.O.R.N.- by proxy special.
Yeah, challenging decision to have to make.

Or Trump loses and Desantis is tainted by the loss (and Trump's stigma generally)

Why do we think Desantis loses hispanic support?
just stay on Trump's message with a positive spin.

DeSantis for a few reasons. First, the Dems/media will absolutely make him into Hitler but I think DeSantis can handle it better and he won’t seek out petty fights that do nothing to help win. The contrast of DeSantis vs Kamala or Joe on a debate stage would be a huge win for the GOP. Trump, for better or worse, isn’t reliable in that setting. There are times to fight and there are times to stay on message.

DeSantis is who you want as a great contrast against either Dementia Joe or the Sleazy Hoe Harris.
A bright and youthful Governor of a major US state against an elderly man clearly in over his head that belongs in a nursing home or a whore who sucked all the correct penises on her way to the top and still looks down on you with her grating cackle.
Trump laid the groundwork for America First policies to take root inside the GOP but he lacked the skills, competency and institutional knowledge to be a transformative President. That's where big Ron DeSantis comes in.
What I like about DeSantis is that he does not shy away from using the power of the state to advance right wing causes and is very muscular about it. The era of limited Government is over.

We can speculate all we want but the decision is Trump's alone. If he runs, then DeSantis will 100% not even get in the running. He knows what would happen if he got on a debate stage and fought with Trump.
He is young and can wait another 4 years.
Also, he is unproven. Trump is rich and bulletproof.
How do we know DeSantis wont betray us once in office? Especially when the oligarchs offer him tens of millions of dollars?
Even Reagan turned weak a few years into his first term. He was awesome at first and then turned to shite.
He passed the amnesty bill which is a big part of the problems we face today.
