White men and Latino men voted nearly identical to each other on the recall question. 48/47 Yes | 53/52 No
So, as usual, those simpleton takeaways are inaccurate.
So Newsome survived because:
1. Women of all races heavily backed Newsome
2. Black voters heavily backed Newsome
3. White men and latino men were evenly split but that is still sad that more white men in CA voted to keep Newsome than get rid of him.
White men in California are a joke.

California is entirely controlled by three metro areas.
These are people that largely don't own property, don't run small businesses and work in tech and entertainment industries that don't see themselves married to the wellbeing of any particular nation. It's a state on a major decline which is going to accelerate in the coming years.
It's a shame for the heavy agricultural areas which do have a diverse group of conservative minded voters, but they are vastly outnumbered by the metro mobs. Throw in ballot harvesting, and the left owns that state until it collapses.
