Just re-watched the incredible HBO miniseries “John Adams”. Very little doubt this tiny little beta would have despised everything about TRUMP. Franklin would have hated TRUMP.

I think best bet to support TRUMP would be Jefferson, especially once he saw how much Adams abhorred DJT.

None. The only politician alive who is close in ideology to that of the Founding Fathers is Ron Paul.

James Monroe was definitely the most outwardly America First. He pretty much said “frick everyone else. We have to look out for ourselves.”

That mindset didn’t change until Teddy Roosevelt amended the Monroe Dictrine with the Roosevelt Corollary, saying we’d also look after our neighbors in the Western Hemisphere when it benefited us.

I don't know much about the second tier guys but probably whichever one of those that the Brits think was the biggest shite stirrer/bomb thrower.

Sam Adams maybe? He was a Jeffersonian.

Here you go, from his wiki page:

"Supporters of the Revolution praised Adams, but Loyalists viewed him as a sinister figure."

sound like anyone you know?

Better question, who in Trump's camp would've been a founding father? Same answer for both questions...

Alexander Hamilton would have liked Trump.
Thomas Jefferson would have hated him.
I think Washington would have respected him, but probably not have supported him.
Ben Franklin would probably have been good friends with him from their days as pimps banging euro trash whores
Madison would probably have completely hated Trump's personality, and would have not been the biggest fan of his politics, but not hated him as much as Jefferson.
Monroe and Jackson would be MAGA AF
Adams would be Trump's biggest political enemy (created the first deep state).

All of the founding fathers would have been completely disgusted with Hillary.

I don’t think the founders would like any of these politicians to be quite honest with you. They would probably be more perplexed with us, and why we exchanged freedom from government to looking to them for every one of our needs. That would probably be a big confusion on their part, all except Jefferson, who would be in the streets calling for an immediate call to arms to replenish the tree of liberty,

Every US POTUS of all time would have been ashamed of Trump regardless of party. Next question?

Jefferson could be somewhat conspiratorial. And yes, he loathed Adams. But Jefferson was learned and would not support a populist.

Trump's policy views have been shared by multiple presidents in our history...whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you, but it is flat out wrong to say that trump's worldview (nationalism, protectionism, against establishment, etc) is the first to inhabit the oval office.

If you are arguing more along the lines of conduct...maybe so, but even then things aren't so clear. There have been some very nastu presidents in our history (harding, lbj, andrew johnson).

You are giving presidential history way too much of a pass if you think trump is below them all. Is he more open about his crassness? No doubt, but that is because there is by an order of magnitude more ways to get your word out now than in the past.

If twitter was invented so every president could use it, you'd see some crazy stuff on jackson's and teddy's feed.

All of the founding fathers of the country would have loathed Donald Trump at first sight and Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson would have probably told him so. Just because one is happy that Clinton is not President does not mean one has to”like” The Donald. This guy has numerous, serious flaws.

The founding fathers feared democracy, did not favor high levels of immigration, and some of them endorsed hamilton's protectionism and adam's plan to prevent the press from making statements against the federal government.

spare me this glorification.

General Bonespurs. Some poor schmuck had to go toVietnam instead of The Donald because he could afford to get a doctor to say he wasn’t fit. It was bullshite then and it’s bullshite now.

Like Bill Clinton? Like GHWB?

You wouldn’t have been able enough to go to Vietnam. You know it. I know it. Deep down...

Well, I did. One year. In the infantry. 1969 to 1970. And, just because I have no respect for Trump because of his status it does not mean I condone Clinton’s actions or, to a lesser extent, GWB. (Note I did not refer to GHWB as you did since he was, in fact, a combat naval aviator in WWII.)

If you go back and look at my posts, you’ll find I have consistently been offended by and attempted to expose people who represent themselves as veterans who are not.

The Donald has other flaws too. The only thing I can say is he’s better than having Hillary Clinton as President of the United States.
