Those states made a dumb decision

They feel the EC disenfranchises their voters and resolve this issue by disenfranchising their voters

Virginia?

ETA: it went to a vote in the state legislature and failed.

Not Virginia.

If that happens, you’ll see lawsuits out the arse.

It is one of those situations, like the nuclear option, where people truly believe there is no way it could be used against them.

Very naive.

That isn’t to say that I believe that Trump will win the popular vote, but you never give your enemy a weapon to use against you.

The vast majority of that legislation was contingent upon the passage of similar legislation in an adequate number of states to control the election. That has not happened, so I don’t think very many states will see this legislation come into play. Perhaps none.

It doesn't work like that. They only engage that law once enough states that equal or exceed 270 electoral votes have passed it.

And the second it does it will be challenged in court and shot down as unconstitutional.

I fully expect some liberal judge in some of those states to issue a ruling a couple of days before those states officially have to turn in their electoral votes, all for Trump, to say that ruling is unconstitutional and the state can't do that. You watch.

Like they'll actually follow their laws if Trump wins the popular vote.

Sorry, but there is NO WAY Trump outpolls Biden in the vote totals. Dems have outpolled (popular vote) Repubs every time this century except 2004.

Biden will get at least 5 million more votes than Trump.

I'm pro-electoral college existing, but yall are dead wrong about Trump winning the popular vote.

He's got a shot to be re-elected for sure but I'll bet anything with any terms you want that Biden wins the popular vote. Not that it matters of course, I just hate blind delusion and this board has been more full of that this year than usual.
