Where we stand on Moore at the end of the day

This is a very simple issue. It is not about sexual assault or harassment. It is not about legal rights or civil rights to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is not about the politics of personal destruction. It is not about moral authority to lead or represent a constituency.
This is about the democratic process. The elites are no longer willing to accept the will of the people. The establishment believes it knows best. The DNC has for some time now believed the people to be to stupid to make important decisions, like a primary election.
Now the GOPe has recently shown us they no longer respect the primary process either. They have collaborated with the DNC to take Trump out.
So it boils down to this: right or wrong the people of Alabama have the right to send whoever in the Hell they want to represent them in the US Senate.
By McConnell and the others calling for an end to Moore’s candidacy they are not respecting the will of the people. By endorsing non-candidates to be written in they are assuring a DEMOCRATIC candidate will win. To prefer a Dem over Moore they reveal they are truly compromised.
If we allow them to remove Moore then we are allowing them to divert elections. Elections have consequences. Good or bad they must be honored.
The RNC could remove their support of Moore and even if he were elected the election would be null and void. That is an assault on our democratic process.

Has Moore dropped out yet?
Posted on 11/14/17 at 9:58 pm to finchmeister08
He is not going to drop out. The question is whether the party will pull his candidacy. The Sec State said he would not be recognized if the paperwork was filed to remove him from being the Republican candidate even if he wins.

The problem is there is literally no way to know who is lying and who is telling the truth. That’s why it’s bullshite that this is coming out right before the election after 40 years. It’s a dirty as hell
If he wins and they deny him his spot the Republican Party is done

If accusations become the easy way to out a candidate our votes become useless.

This is a proxy war. Gotta hold your breath and support your side. It's not like Dims would boot their own in this situation

That is exactly what is at stake.

It's about Moore never stepping foot in the Senate. Not voting for that scumbag.

You see how easy it is to manipulate voting. No need for mother Russia at all.

Accuser#5 claimed Moore signed her yearbook. Look at the handwriting. There are two different handwritings. Look at it for yourself. No way one person wrote what is in the yearbook. This proves she is lying.
Also, why would a 16 year old girl ask a 30 year old man to sign her yearbook?

Americans drove trucks peacefully... now the democrats use trucks against americans like in New York
Americans had guns peacefully... then democrats used guns against americans in las vegas and texas
Americans accused democrats of sexual crimes... now democrats are accusing our american fixing to be elected politicians of sexual crimes
Democrats are the party against americans

That he targets and sexually assaults teenagers I hope... but the thread titles make me strongly doubt it.

Is Bill Clinton a rapist? The NYT has called him such today with similar accusations.

you democrats accusing republicans of your own crimes are pathetic... what will you accuse republicans of next? Killing Seth Rich?

quote:How noble of them to call him out 20 years after he’s left office. Where were they in 92? To be frank I don’t give a shite if Roy is a rapist or if Bill is either. Bill Clinton will never hold office again. This isn’t about whether or not Moore is a rapist. This is about a political smear campaign that’s happening on the eve of an election for purely political purposes. Nobody pushing these stories gives a goddamn about those women and whether or not they were really raped or molested. Not a single fricking one. As a rule I don’t believe women who pile on the bandwagon claiming some sort of assault or rape decades after the fact. Anyone who isn’t skeptical is fricking brainwashed or brain dead. Moore has been in the public eye for a long time and now these stories come out just before a Senatorial election? Sorry, they’re probably lying.
