Was getting carryout at my favorite Indian restaurant the other day, noticed the place was packed and none of staff had masks or any of the stupid plastic walls you see everywhere. Every Indian I ever met was hard working, usually an engineer, doctor, or business owner. You don't hear the left talk about them a whole lot as far as being one of their pet groups that are oppressed. But never really heard one way or the other on their politics.

Every voting demo poll I've seen has them strongly
supporting Dems along with
the rest of the Asian population.

Hard to understand.

And some wonder why so many people shite on conservatives. Nice stereotyping on both groups of people hoss. While simultaneously being what others think of as the stereotypical conservative. This definitely helps the cause.

A lot of them are small business owners who do what the hell they want. They own gas stations, restaurants, are medical doctors, engineers, and work in tech. Many are concerned with nothing but getting their education, making money, sending the money home and probably moving back there or staying here.

The business owners don’t pay payroll taxes at extraordinary amounts and deal with a lot of cash. Don’t get an audit.

Their culture is a very conservative one, with arranged marriages still at probably half of all marriages. The man is the leader and they are usually very patriarchal. They tend to sit in the middle, politically, from what I’ve heard from many. When I explain conservatism to a lot of my Indian buds (my fiancé is Indian), they tend to agree with me. A lot of them are mislead by the MSM.

60-65 Democrat, 35-40 Republican, according to poles. Some in the cities can be extreme left. That goes for any ethnic group, but they seem to pop up in articles or on TV as representing the far left at a higher rate than other ethnic groups considering their overall population in US is small.

I went to school with a number of Indians and some of them had arranged marriages set up in the old country even when they were children.

God forbid the Indian man who thinks he is getting a traditional subservient wife out of one particular one I know. She already had a bad temper when I knew her and I imagine she would put up with no shite after having been a personal assistant for a major media figure. After having to send a team of retards to go get Cambodian breast milk for her boss, I don’t think she will put up with Sanjay telling her what to do.

Democrats generally. At least the Muslim Indians are. Not sure where Christian, Sikh, or other Indians are.

Most Muslims are democrats because deep down they want a weak America.

Not sure when you went to school, but this still happens today. I work with a few of them in IT, they still have caste systems today and arranged marriages.

Excellent observation. I’ve noticed this too and said wtf is their problem?

Sometimes I watch the national spelling bee and the Indians always kick arse. Its a big thing for them and the kids work very hard at it with a lot of pressure from the parents to do well.

I’m not saying this is right or wrong. Just an observation that many minorities don’t see republicans as on their side. More of a white man party. This doesn’t apply to all of them obviously, but I do think it applies to a significant number of them hence why they refuse to vote republican. It’s identity politics essentially. They see more minorities in one group and think they belong there.

Socially Indians are conservative in general while fiscally it depends. India has a lot of socialist tendencies, so it isn’t surprising many of them would also support large government. Like most minorities, most of them are still Democrats or at least lean that way occasionally. But the number isn’t like 90% like it is with the black community so there are still quite a few that don’t vote Democrat.
