Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump's nominee to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, would have the second most conservative score (0.693) on the bench if confirmed, next to Justice Clarence Thomas (0.725), per a measure that scores judges on a liberal-conservative spectrum.

But, but there was that one case! Kavanaugh was a great pick.

Thomas is the GOAT justice on the court right now. My man!

Also Alito is great.

Good judges will occasionally make rulings they personally disagree with, it's a sign of following the law.

Unlike all the left wing judges who blindly vote their ideology every time.

I hope this isn’t an attempt by Axios to paint him as a conservative ideologue for the sake of stoking the flames of resistance.

By that I mean, I hope he’s actually a “far-right ideologue.”

I find it extremely hard to believe that Ginsburg and Sotomayor are under 0.6.

How do they score this? A conservative follows the constitution and a liberal follows their personal agenda?

The scale was put together by a leftist.

How a black man being the most conservative and not caving in liberal minds daily is beyond me.

Scalia did that when he upheld flag burning as freedom of speech although he personally really hated it. I agree entirely. Miss him a lot already.

I want to see them show their work too. Ginsburg isn't a big fan of due process rights so that might get counted as conservative.

But I'd rather see justices plotted on an individual vs government axis, a state vs federal axis, etc. It would be a lot more meaningful than the ever-shifting definitions of liberal and conservative.
