They'll cheer the continuation of a highly progressive taxation system and their success at moving the argument so solidly onto their territory that they cant really lose?

THey won't need talking points.

The plan will fail because of the same cucked worthless Republicans.

All the Dems have to do is sit back and do nothing.

Skeptical. It would be career suicide at this point.

They will simply consult their playbook which is 50 years old and only has three pages:
- tax cuts for the rich!
- RACIST!
- War on Women (gays, trannies, insert perceived "victims")

Rinse and repeat.

Whatever you do, do not expect them to have a reasoned, logical, or measured counterpoint with any real merit. They have been living and voting on 100% pure emotions since FDR.

Tax cuts mean the government gets less money and the people keep more.

I'm all for it even if I personally don't get a dime.

The only argument I've been seeing from Dems is "More debt".

That tells me this is a pretty partisan tax plan, and they only oppose because they absolutely will not support anything coming from Trump.

I dont love the tax plan but its not bad. Dems are voting against for the same reason MConnell was quotes as doing whatever it takes to make Obama a one term president

The disgusting politics of our nation sadly.

But to my point, when did republicans start cheering progressive taxation so loudly?

Ohh yeah, Trump.

Listening to a black station in B.R this morning and they were saying that all this sexual assault nonsense was to distract from this bill that just passed the House. Saying it was a shaft to the middle class and the poor. Saying it was going to take away affordable health care. They offered no examples as to how, why, nor offers any specifics as to what was in the bill itself .
I yelled at my radio and changed the station.

I agree, and I loathe the people on the right that do the same thing.

Well it surely doesn't appear to be your typical right wing tax plan, but as I've argued in other threads, it is a step in the right direction to:

1. Simplifying the tax code, which is sorely needed

And

2. Helping the middle class keep more of their money, which is a conservative staple

Politics is about slowly chipping away. You can't pass something that's too far to one side. This doesn't seem to be, yet we still see Dems (on this board) convincing themselves it's a shitty plan....cuz Trump
