What’s wrong with Trump saying we don’t want immigrants from the 3rd world?

Does a company have to hire anyone off the street, or can they be selective about who they bring in? What about a family letting anyone into their house?

Why is a country any different?

Did he say that? I missed that I guess gee.

You shouldn't exclude any country. Its the individual.

He didn’t say he didn’t want anyone from the 3rd world. He questioned why we are almost exclusively taking in immigrants from the 3rd world and so few from other countries like Norway.

He wants a merit system where we take in those most deserving, regardless of the country.

Because it doesn’t jive with the democrat dream of a permanent low education brown majority voting base so they will have permanent power, it’s that simple

Libs were all for excluding immigrants when their guys were doing it.

Trump has them not knowing what to believe anymore.

This country was never intended to be an elitist country club.

A diverse group of immigrants keeps this nation from being too homogeneous of thought. It strengthens ties to those countries and builds great intelligence networks that we can tap when we inevitably get involved with those countries.

There are plenty of good reasons that have been stated far more thoroughly than I have. I hope you research it and answer your question earnestly.

Not everybody who comes here on a diversity visa is going to grow up and become a doctor, though. And no, doctor isn’t necessarily the standard—my point is some people will just waste the opportunity or otherwise take advantage in some way.

You can't expect immediate, 100% positive results from immigrants. This melting pot that we all love took generations to melt together. There are growing pains in both sides, immigrant and host, but the result is an overwhelming long-term benefit for everyone. Patience.

There's nothing wrong with what he said. Liberals just want the votes these shitty people bring with them.

Diversity is not a strength, that's for damn sure.

Listening to Chief of Staff Kelly on Bret Baier/Fox News....Kelly is bailing on Trump's "campaign promise" for the Wall. Saying that 800 miles of wall with the 600 already going will have to suffice.

I smell a rat. Minus a wall, the first time the Dems get power they'll let the small time fences be breached.

Nothing wrong with it at all. Nothing wrong with him calling some of those countries shitholes... which they absolutely are.

Had discussions with people I know over the years about why the U.S. is involved in some shithole overseas. Most people call them this or something similar. All of those senators, congressmen, and media that are so shocked and insulted ought to let us know which of these shitholes they took their families to on vacation.

It would be crickets...

Diversity to a liberal is a bunch of people from different origins all thinking the same way. They do not want diversity of thought.

You're brainwashed. Its almost like you can't think for yourself or identify objective reality from ideological catechisms.

Or maybe I work with a diverse group of people from all corners of the planet every day in a happy, productive environment.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”
Do people really disagree with this sentiment now? Of course most people trying to immigrant dont have the best living situations. Thats how its always been.
