I think they drag this on until next year and about mid summer or later stop selling to US. No I-Phones, No electronics. No cheap shite. Their aim is to hurt the US economy so bad that Trump loses election and they win.

They'll make a deal before the end of summer....they can't lose a U.S. Christmas season.

Their economy cannot survive without exports to the US.

Here is the problem for China: It's not smart to retaliate against your best customer.

As I mentioned in the other thread on China. China is facing a domestic pork production issue that is cataclysmic in scale. They have already lost more hogs in 6 weeks than are in the US in total. They have 1/2 the world's hogs and are losing 90% of them.

They are going to need the US and world markets to export proteins (meat - think pork, poultry, and beef) to them by summer.

This is due to the Asian Swine Flu (ASF) there is no cure, it is 95% deadly when contracted, is spread through a variety of means (all easy), and there is no vaccine. This shite is the real deal. I just hope it doesn't make it to the US, it is starting to show up in Europe.

They will bend the knee soon or people will starve. It is really that simple.

That is lost on many "China experts" who chime in on these threads for some reason.

Just ask Disney after TLJ. Solo bombed at the box office so hard they had to cancel half a dozen planned movies.

they would destroy their own economy. There are a dozen places that would love to eat up manufacturing market share from China, but there is nowhere that can replace our market for China. China's biggest fear is unemployment, and they have an enormous debt problem several times worse than ours

Because Forbes said China would overtake the US economy back in 2016. Of course that was assuming it was her turn.

China will bend the knee.

With China essentially being a dictatorship they can go down quite a ways so they may think that they can turn public opinion in the US against Trump before they commit economic seppuku.

I think they are wrong.

Yeah that’s not gonna happen. Doesn’t Apple get most of the parts from Korea anyways?

I’m sure there are companies in Korea and Singapore that would be happy to take over supplying goods and services to US companies.

We can call on Indonesia, Vietnam, and other southeast asian nations to provide our cheap labor.

China can't depend on those same nations to buy their cheap crap in the quantities we do.

Mobilization costs are way too high for that to happen. China are the masters as mass production b/c they have low safety standards and don't have to pay their workers much.

They will be forced to bend the knee as a result.

That dictatorship would not survive an uprising.

The have 2.6 million military persons and 621 million fit for service. The odds are not in their favor to withstand a true collapse.

That would be risky to try IMO. It might work, but it might also unify support behind him totally.

Economic Pearl Harbor.

Same thing they do every night, Pinky.

-fund anti-Trump propaganda in the American media

-fund opposition party political campaigns (Neo-Libs and Labour around the world, socialist are too protectionist)

-put the squeeze on Africa and their Southeast Asian neighbors

-spend their foreign relations money on Iran, North Korea, Russia, and other key threats to Western security

-try to wait out their global opposition
