seems like they all wear nice tailored suits with an earpiece but I can never see evidence of them carrying any type of weapon. Do the agents with the high powered machine guns stay in the far background while the agents escorting the President just carry some type of pistol? Just something I have always wondered

Pretty sure the glock 22 is standard issue, but they carry what they want.

The team is very well armed - there are better arms nearby and a response team not very far away.

There is small arms coverage of the entire crowd and LOTS of target acquisition assets.

This, and FN57.

They're a fan of the 5.7×28mm cartridge.

P229s from what I remember. I suspect more and more movement to the Glock 19, but I don't know if that applies to USSS.

I'm sure the MP5 is still used too

Pretty sure they carry a couple. You don't see them, but they're there.

Whatever they want. Guys I've been to stuff with carry Sig or USP mostly.

Also, lol at tailored suits. Those cheesedicks need a tailor.

At Reagan library last week. Noticed in pics of his shooting normal dudes in suits in one frame. Same guys holding locked and loaded uzzi's in the next.

Hell, go back 35 years or so, when Reagan was shot. Within a a split second those dudes had a full arsenal out and ready to go. If you look at the footage you can see how wild it was that it all appeared to come out of nowhere.

And acquaintance was a secret service agent and said they carried sig sauers chambered in .357 sig. That was 3-4 years ago and he has since retired.
