Honest question.
What if?
frick all the shite hole nations of the world.
We're done.
Reinvest in our borders: ICBM interdiction systems, closed borders, national level investments in renewables and conventional energy productions.
No more drone strikes.
No more foreign aid.
No more propping up corrupt and puppet governments.
Let natural selection have it's turn.

Peace and stability are cheaper than turmoil. Our economy is dependent on the rest of the world.
We can certainly do it, but we will have to live in smaller homes, use less, and work more. Asia is basically our slave labor right now and we control the Middle East to keep the dollar valuable via oil.
I think we should let it all go honestly. But then you might get someone else who takes over and are you too weak by then to keep from becoming their bitch? Smarter people than me know the answer.

We need to prop up the petro dollar

Why is that?
If we can produce what we need stateside (ANWAR, renewables, etc) and we aren't exporting why do we care about the petrol dollar?

Do we?
Could we not just buy what we want without getting embroiled in failure nations?

This is why. Because someone will become more powerful and won't be as benevolent as we are.

Good sense, for economic and overall national security.

The idea that we can retreat to within our borders and simply batten
down the hatches is, and always has been a pipedream, as much as some of you would to prefer to avoid any contact with foreigners.

Does China and Russia move into areas they aren't invited?

If US occupation is the only thing keeping those kind of nations in our sphere, are they really with us?
