For me, it is the acceptance of the need for government, and the belief that smaller, more limited, local, and sovereign government is typically best.

I love my country. I support politicians who put the country first and don't worry about hurting people's feelings.

This is the land of my forefathers, my family, and my freedom to worship my God.

This people had its founding in fighting for its freedom from oppressive government rule and weak tea!

Because free is the best way to be.

No other nation on earth was founded so its citizens could pursue their own happiness. You just gotta love any country who loves you for who you are, not who they want you to be.

Because we have been gifted with the greatest and most free republic the world has ever seen thanks to great sacrifices by our founding fathers and our armed forces.

We have an obligation to be patriots and if we are not willing to fight to preserve our republic we will be letting down some great people and dishonor all that they did.

I’m a patriot because the USA is my country. I was born here. This is my land.

I am team USA and proud of it. We are the best in the world at many things.

I grew up being fascinated with World War 2 and learning about what our country accomplished in that war and how we lead the fight to liberate the world from tyranny (The Nazis and the Empire of Japan). When we won the war, we gave the land back to their people and didn’t claim it as our own. I loved all the World War 2 movies. Our county was like the superhero of the world. Always just and always fighting for good. In my eyes, we were always the good in the fight between good and evil. Maybe our country hasn’t really always acted “good”' but I believe that we should try. We should all strive to be a country that is a beacon of hope for all others.

I grew up and spent 10 years as an officer in the US Army. I believe in our country. And I want to root out the evil and bad things that we may have done or that we may do. I want the deep state gone.

This is why I am an American Patriot and will always be. I will fight for this ideal. I will die for it.

Both my grandfathers fought in WWII, as did one of my great uncles.

I had an uncle that was a cold war era spy for the US (seriously).

A couple other uncles fought for the US in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Several cousins and some of my closest friends fought during OIF and the Afghanistan war.

...

They all fought against true atrocities in the world.

The war is now being waged right here on American soil. Not so much outright violence, but a war of indoctrination, subterfuge and behind the scenes monetary funding by bigtime globalist elite players (Soros, Zuckerberg).

I am a patriot because I stand behind everyone who has fought for the true freedoms shared by Americans, which are in jeopardy of being dissolved.

Not at all for me.

To me its acceptance of our shared history and gratefulness to those that came before. Also a feeling of responsibility for maintaining the blessings we have for future generations.

A lot of people here seem to cite tradition, while I am citing a reason, an argument.
