Sounds to me like its a good investment that will pay dividends for all of us. $400 million to launch a satellite through our government or $98 million to use SpaceX.

you don't even have to limit this to defense or aerospace for this argument, most big manufacturing facilities are heavily subsidized by the government and are always widely celebrated here
