Having fathers that preach that the man is keeping you down and that you are a victim is probably worse than no father. What is needed the most is leadership that promotes education, character, and morals and holds up examples of success in the working world, not rappers and nba players. But I don't believe this will ever happen. What is more likely to happen is some form of reparations and permanent UBI that promotes minorities into the middle and upper middle classes.

I'd say take it a step further. Maybe college or trade school isn't even the path for everyone. How about getting people to just want to earn an income? It's okay to work at CVS. It's okay to work at Walmart. It's okay to work at McDonald's. The issue I see is these people work somewhere for a few weeks or months, and quit. Rinse, repeat. They never learn any valuable skill or gain tenure. They will never move from menial jobs to supervisor or manager.
