We always hear the chorus of "what's his plan for xyz?"

"He has no plan"

Etc etc etc

Sorry, I don't buy the premise that there has to be a plan for every damn thing. This isn't a socialist command and control system, at least not yet. Instead of coming up with a dem-lite plan for micromanaging everything, how about explaining why THE GOVERNMENT SHOULDNT HAVE A PLAN FOR EVERYTHING.

America itself was founded on the idea that WE the PEOPLE can run our own plans. We can run our own lives with our own responsibility(yeah I get it). How come Republicans who claim to be small government simply cant extol the virtues of NO GOVERNMENT PLAN?

Why the frick do we buy the premjse?

ETA Example: "Repeal and replace Obamacare"

Why replace the shite with a different pile of shite? Explain "repeal Obamacare and replace it with THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS NO BUSINESS MESSING WITH frickING HEALTH CARE."

JBE literally has no plan to move the state forward and get us out of last place, yet we keep hearing how Rispone didn't have a plan.

JBE’s plan was to make grown men cry. Mission: Accomplished.

I was hoping to actually hear what JBE's plans are for the next 4 years to get our state out of last place. Any idea on what that plan is?

Excuses excuses. People who vote for personalities are idiots. You vote for people who tell you what they're going to do. If they won't tell you, it's because they don't know (bad) or their plans will be extremely unpopular. (also bad).

There is no excuse for running for an executive position and not campaigning on a plan.

You could literally take those bullet points and use them for any politician of any party.

Not Rispone. Are Republicans interested in criminal justice reform? Honest question- I haven’t been keeping up with party trends.

Yes.
Other than that, do you agree with the observation I made?

On his first day in office, Governor Edwards’ signed an executive order to expand Medicaid to provide healthcare for working people in Louisiana. That decision brought $1.85 billion federal tax dollars back home to Louisiana that were otherwise being sent to other states, is responsible for more than 19,000 jobs, and cut our uninsured rate in half. Those numbers pale in comparison to the lives that are being saved.
How do we pay for this when federal dollars run out in 5-6 years? Nice little present for his successor.

In 2018, Louisiana reached its lowest unemployment rate in a decade. And the number of people working in Louisiana is near record-high levels.
Riding Trump's coattails with this one because Edwards did nothing. Why is our state the only one to lose jobs?

No. Because he has facts that aren’t true for every politician listed in his priorities.

Democrats don't require a plan because their voters are morons.

Republicans require plans because we actually care what our representatives are going to do. We hold our reps to a higher standard.

So what?
"Having the facts" usually just means tailored talking points.
That said, what are you basing your evaluation on...i.e. "he has facts that aren't true for every politician"?

How has his superiority manifested itself in ways anyone could see for themselves?

He has written that he inherited a $2b deficit that he turned into a surplus. That, specifically, is not true for every politician.

Fair enough. Was that because of his superior policies, or, as the saying goes. "A rising tide lifts all ships"?

So how about your other bullets points...have you ever seen any politician from any party, who didn't say the same thing?

There was no deficit. It's illegal in La to finish with a budget deficit. Secondly, he didn't inherit anything as he was part of the legislature and voted for Jindal's budgets.

What were some of his campaign topic bullet points if not budget, economy, healthcare, education, etc?

That he stands with Trump and isn’t a liberal. That’s why 700,000 people voted for him. Scary, isn’t it?
