There is no definitive answer, and that's the point.

The more confusion they create within their contradictory and open-ended nomenclature, the more chance they have at further eroding what little protections are still afforded by the Second Amendment.

This has always been their purpose in "labeling" things.

This distinction is still what the US Military considers to be an assault rifle. Selective fire, intermediate round, detachable box magazine.
Every time we have this thread, somebody provides this correct answer. I don't understand why it's so hard to remember.

It's a WEAPON OF WAR. Made for the DESTRUCTION of humankind. No other reason to have one. Capable of holding more clips than you can even count. It can fire over 60 bullets PER MINUTE with lethal accuracy due to its super special silenced scope and bump stock. It punches a hole in your chest as wide as a two liter bottle!

A person of any age can buy all of this online and get it shipped to their house without a background check!!!

Because it doesn't fit their narrative....

I think spending one minute arguing over the definition of ‘assault rifle’ is really pretty stupid.

An AR is the same platform as the rifle our military has been using for 50+ years. I have zero problem with anyone calling it an assault rifle. It has characteristics that make it much more deadly in a firefight.

I do think the commies are trying to take all of our gun rights and a bunch of morons get all worked up about a name.

Yes your hunting rifle is an assault weapon. It assaults innocent animals that are in season.

It’s an AR-15 (AR for Assault Rifle, duh). Did you know they can hold 15 or more clips in those and have 30 magazines? Dangerous!

I don't know. Any weapon I use is doing more than assaulting, if I can help it.

Good on them. Everyone (especially females) should carry some sort of equalizer just in case the need arises to defend themselves.

My youngest daughter is a physically tiny thing, and carries a .380 when she can and pepper spray at all other times. My oldest daughter isn't much bigger and carries a 9mm. Mrs. Axe carries her P320 religiously. The boys and I are armed to the teeth at all times.
