If Trump is going to use the national emergency funds from different agencies, what happens when those funds are dry?

8 billion or so is pocket change in government spending. So when that money runs out, how does Trump think he will get more for next year?

It might take less than a month to burn through that much with not much to show for it.

Does he not understand that the money still has to be appropriated by congress?

Mexicans will stop illegally coming across the border due to the big, beautiful wall that was built.

He's going to ask AOC for some of her New Green Deal financial deals.

The national emergency funding only applies to parts of the wall that is already build, which is less than 300 miles.

How is trump going to pay for more wall? His big beautiful wall?

he is using $600 million from the Treasury Department's drug forfeiture fund; $2.5 billion from the Defense Department's drug interdiction program; and $3.5 billion from a military construction fund.

He has authority to divert military construction elsewhere in times of national emergencies.

Unless you think military construction is going to cease being funded by congress completely you fundamentally misunderstand whats going on here.

Do I think that congress doesn't love pork and is going to willingly give up a new base or shiny toys developed in their states and districts to go towards an imaginary wall that doesn't stop immigration?

Where do you think Congress is going to spend that money?

Yes..explain how I am misunderstanding greed.

The only way Congress gets mad over this is if it affects their individual districts.

Given that all Dems are going to vote against him anyway he has no shortage of available dem state projects to choose from. NY being the first.
