China is totally waiting for US regime change. There will be a lot of hand wringing and tough talk from Joe, Kamala and Blinken.
But in the end, nothing will happen and the Dems will come up with some other catastrophe to occupy our attention away from what is happening in Asia.

watch China literally annex Hong Kong and break the agreement they signed with the UK. Russia will annex Ukraine and the MUH Ukrainian ally people will not utter a word. Turkey will steam roll MUH Kurdish allies at the Turkey Syria border as well. Iran will build more nukes and Biden will send over 10Billion this time. The clown show is back and the state media will not report on any of it.

It's not up to your kids. Once they joined the military, they gave their consent to the US government to decide for them.

yeah, it's not nice and close like Hong Kong and Taiwan does have military defensive capabilities.
What I worry is China moving to monopolizing the South China Sea. I think the rest of Asia has to unite to stand a chance. I know India and Vietnam recently teamed up. They see the writings on the wall. Imagine a conflict between the rest of Asia vs China. What will the US do?

on 1/13/21 at 10:21 pm to _Hurricane_I’m old enough that as a young boy in the Fifties, I was aware of a potential war being started over Chicom artillery bombardment and naval actions regarding the Nationalist Chinese (Taiwan) islands of Quemoy and Matsu. The matter actually was addressed peripherally in the Nixon/Kennedy debates in the 1960 election.

This is the go to quote for those who want perpetual war. An American soldier has no business dying in Taiwan. And the American taxpayers have no business subsidizing Taiwan, as an independent nation or as a state, when we're trillions in debt as it is.
