There has been a huge burden shift in the last few weeks. I am now instructed that I must believe these women when they claim assault. And yes, I suspect the vast majority may be telling the truth. But....what about that one dude who is getting framed? (And yes, that does happen) Arent we supposed to wait to believe an accuser until a trial is had? Now, one allegation and boom...career over. I understand the inclination to feel that way...but man we are departing from some of the most important fundamentals of out democracy. The presumption of innocense, and the right to confront your accuser. Not to mention the right to a fair trial. I understand the idea, but I dont know that I agree with the implementation that seems to have occurred. Just something to ponder....

With Moore, it's six or seven victims ( probably more coming) and dozens of corroborating witnesses.

So you don't care for due process. Got it.

....witnesses who are subject to cross examination and a determination by a judge or jury of their credibility based on facts and evidence. 50 people claiming the sky is green doesnt make it so.

We still have that. But it doesn't apply to public opinion. Never has.

The accused can always sue for defamation.

Innocent until proven guilty is a legal standard. It doesn't apply to all situations.

Especially the court of public opinion.

But I think that says more about the public than anything else.

Innocent until proven guilty is not the same as making a character judgement.....which we all do every single day of our lives.

Hopefully, these people will get a day in court. But ask yourself this....if a man is accused of molestation or rape would you give him the benefit of the doubt and let him watch your kids or be alone with your significant other? If he’s innocent until proven guilty it should be no big deal right?

Having said all that, Roy Moore is a victim of a hit job, but I wasn’t going to vote for him anyway.

BS. The ONLY issue that needs to be considered is the 14 year old allegation. We know the yearbook is forged. And Gloria Allred is representing that lady.

Sadly for you toddy....no minors were victimized.

Just accuse someone of anything.

That is for a court of law,

not the court of public opinion.

You realize he isn't being tried on criminal cases right? There's no such thing as innocent until proven guilty or due process in elections.

But good try.

I know. People are able to just throw shite against the wall freely with no repercussions just like Gloria Allred is doing.
