What are the odds of the Fantasy Sports bill passing?

Curious to see what the Poli board thinks
ETA - I know it's Parish by Parish, but what is the general thought?

I would think it passes easy.

As long as DraftKings stops emailing me I don't give a fook.

I expect it to pass in most places, particularly the larger parishes in the southern part of the state. I'm sure there will be plenty of rural parishes in central and north Louisiana that will vote against it.

Boomer from my work voted against it because "cardboard boxes look trashy and we already have enough people living in them"

Larger parishes will pass it. Small Baptist parishes will vote it down. Everyone else will be a mix.
What will be interesting is whether the big fantasy sites will actually geofence the places that pass it, or simply open it up to the state and let the buyer beware.

Whats this allowing? Is it for your physical location of your IP address to bet of fantasy sports like draft kings?

Proponents say it will allow tax collections on earnings. Which entity hers those dollars? Fed and state or fed, state and parish?

Does one have to give a home address for starlings or do they base it off info from your IP? Apparently, my IP address suggests I'm two parishes over.

I’m not too sure. There’s still too many boomers who think gambling is immoral. Had a guy at work talking about how he voted no because he didn’t want the government to condone gambling, which is the worst argument against I’ve ever heard.
I voted yes, but I don’t use DraftKings. I’m in 2 private leagues and will happily keep breaking the law if it’s voted down.

Think the country baws in rural parishes may vote it down, should easily pass everywhere else.
Looks like it goes into effect tomorrow if passed. I'll be setting up a weekly FSB contest on DK. Let's gooo!!

I must be confused on the bill. I thought you could play without betting. Is it just the daily betting that’s illegal?

I voted for it in Lafayette Parish.

You'd think, but I know my hardcore conservative parents and friends were against it.
