Obamacare only helped lazy people. That number for 2018 seems very low. Maybe it’s that low because a lot of people don’t have insurance now because it’s not affordable.

Wait .... wut? No
Neither ewwwwwww.
Apples to oranges man.
Kick in the nuts or a handy from Fiona Hill maybe.
In the meantime my wife and I just found out that, through early enrollment, our premiums are going up next year from $469.00 a month with a $2000 deductible and all drugs covered, an 80/20 plan with max out of pocket of $10k.
New insurance is going to cost us $1567.00 a month, 70/30 plan, $5k deductible, max out of pocket $20k. Some drugs not covered not even all the way down to Tier III.
This is the result of Obamacare. frick that mother fricker and all the dems.
And we're high income. All the factory workers at my wife's place of employment are suffering the same way and most are making less than $70k a year. I don't know how they are going to be able to afford it.

See... you get to buy insurance AND you get to pay for your own healthcare. Everybody gets what they want.

Obamacare ......... You either get the subsidy or you are the subsidy. Guess which one of these positions suck. Thank God Trump dropped the unconstitutional mandate !!!

But the entire point of the law was to make healthcare more affordable for ALL Americans
Wrong. The point of Obamacare was to destroy the current system so the people ASK for socialized medicine. You are already seeing some of that now... “we need healthcare like Canada!!1!!”
It’s a much easier path then forcing socialized medicine on America.
This was a well thought out plan

You can argue that Obamacare helped certain people in certain situations.

In 2008, middle-class workers spent about 7.8% of household income on premiums and deductibles.
By 2018, that figure had climbed to 11.5%.
I had a plan through the business my wife and I own. In 2008, I was paying BC/BS $400/month for a $500 deductible plan for the entire family. In 2015, BC/BS offered us a lesser plan (higher deductible) for $1800/month. Either my wife or myself were going to have to go get a job with an employer that provided insurance. I got a job with benefits for $500/month.
