No way in hell he backs down.

I believe the reason he is pushing so hard for gun control is that he was caught with those pictures.

He is trying to show the left that he is one of them, and using gun control advocacy to get them to not pay attention to the black face.

I think so too.

I don’t think higher office is an option, but they’ll treat him like a hero, and he can parlay it into a comfortable think tank job.

So that option is Legal, Constitutional?

It is but it requires approval of both states and Congress.

And since NOVA needs that tax money, it will never happen.

No, under the constitution the home state has to allow the counties to leave.

The formation of West Virginia in itself is against the constitution. Lincoln signed WV into statehood without Virginia's approval. Lincoln got around it by saying Virginia was no longer in the union. (while he told Europeans the opposite)

Had a professor say if Virginia took it to the Supreme Court today they would have a very good case for getting West Virginia back.

Wiki intimates SCOTUS ruled on it in 1866 in favor of WV.

It may be more legal than we know.

Just how much of Virginia can it get? All the way to Norfolk?

It is a funny bit of trolling, but the formation of WV was Constitutionally-questionable itself. This would be equally questionable

Could catch on to where the only states you and your people have are small densely populated areas - soytopias .

Admittedly ignorant, but interested in potential outcome, how does this process work? Could the residents of the county vote to become part of WV or would that require approval by all of VA? If so, maybe the county has to petition the court?

Anyone with an answer, I'm all ears.

If people in counties close to WV learned how much of a tax break they'll be getting by becoming part of WV...could be REALLY interesting!!!

Gov blackface and the nova progstains would tie it up in the courts

I’d love for action to be taken that direction though. We have to do something to keep the progstain mob at bay.

The formation of West Virginia and the proposed admittance of additional Virginia counties are both explicitly unconstitutional. There is nothing questionable about either one.
