Norris would have probably been the only Democrat that I'd ever vote for

no idea, I was thinking it was a waste of time and money for anybody to run against Norris as the past few elections he's had no opposition

All I know is my aunt says she's a bitch. Probably made fun of her in HS or something.

Must have been a low turnout since everyone thought he was a shoe-in.

Nah. Most people I know i WM were voting for Albrtton. This victory wasn’t chocking at all.

The fact that he’s been the mayor since 1978 is reason alone to want him out.

Normally I would agree, but he's been a damned good mayor during that entire time.

Who knows. I live in Mayo land, so I don’t really care who they vote for as their mayor or why.

40 years as mayor would have been enough for me to vote for someone new. I just saw that the turnout was a little over 2k and 26%. Guess that business only strategy spelled doom for Norris.

I think she was the only candidate that actually campaigned for the race, I never saw one Norris sign or anything

Dave didn't campaign. He turned some people off when he said he was retiring then later reversed course. He's been a darn good mayor for 40 years but he's aging and it's time for some fresh blood. Staci served on the Board of Aldermen so she has some idea of what the job entails. I think she'll do fine.

Norris ran again after staying he wouldn't to keep Mike Walsworth out of the race.

Mike has a pretty sweet gig already, guess the pay would be better as mayor. Certainly there's no term limits like he's experiencing now.
