We’re going to know the future of this country when the SCOTUS rules on student loan debt

Right now the SCOTUS is hearing the case of Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness scam in exchange for Dim votes.

If the SCOTUS decides it’s ethical and legal to take money from responsible Americans, to take money from Americans who never attended a university and give that money to millions of Americans in exchange for Dim votes…..need I say more? You can 100% forget about this nation ever recovering from the woke insanity that’s infested every major American institution.

Probably April or May. Potentially as late as June.

No idea. I’m watching Real America’s Voice this morning and that SCOTUS headline is running across the bottom of the screen.

June. It will be one of the last ones issued, like Dobbs. It’s that big.

To believe or think this student loan forgiveness BS is even at the SCOTUS level is pretty damn shocking.

What do you think food stamps and Medicaid are? The country is fricked but this ruling is far from what broke the camel’s back.

I trust the court to get this right, It's really not that complicated.

However if they allow this I expect another economic collapse like the 2008 mortgage bubble that was set in motion by Clinton's policy removing regulations from lenders and putting quotas on lending to low or no income people.

"Everyone deserves a House" member that? I do.

"Everyone deserves and college education" I member that too.

Everything liberals touch turns to shite but as long as they get elected the ends justify the means.

It isn’t SCOTUS job to determine what is ethical or the motive of each executive decision. They are supposed to rule on what is constitutional. I don’t see how a president is constitutionally allowed to allocate US funds towards payment on individual’s loans, but I guess there’s a small chance they rule it constitutional due to obscure precedent or something else I’m not aware of.

Similar but not apples to apples.

Americans who rely on government entitlements sign up for those entitlements.

College students and their parents signed student loans with a promise to pay them back.

As many on this forum have asked……why not forgive all delinquent federal taxes?
Why not forgive all government backed mortgages?

Student loan forgiveness could open up some insane possibilities.

Government takeover of the vast majority of student loans set the table for an overpriced education.

You’re giving what might as well be money to people that was taken from people who will never use those services. Like taking money from people and giving it to other for loan forgiveness.

Huge overreaction to a singular potential ruling. Just another drop in the entitlements bucket. This country has been fricked long before this came about. Cut all entitlements and maybe we’ll get somewhere. If you don’t do that then who gives a shite about loan forgiveness.

Don’t really understand your point. SCOTUS is who decides such questions.

It shouldn’t take the highest court to decide something this egregiously stupid!!!!

Different perspective I guess. That’s exactly who should decide constitutional questions, IMO.

I saw a state judge in New Orleans got her student loan debt forgiven.

She has a job and can pay.
