The WHO already said they are thinking about changing the name since it "conjures racist imagery".

It's funny to me how for a hundred years plus, we name these things based on where they come from or what animal they originate from. However, in this nancy pants world, can't do that cause you might offend someone. This coronavirus should've been called the Wuhan Virus and if that offends you STOP EATING frickING PANGOLINS, SNAKES, BATS AND MONKEYS! And if it originated from a lab, well, still the Wuhan Virus.
Where a lot of virus names have originated
The Ebola virus originated (as best we know) near the Ebola river. It is what it fricking is.
As for monkey-pox being renamed, I bet there's some funny ones to be had but it'll stick with monkey pox. I watched a doctor and virologist blatantly state on a news show that over 94% of all cases are stemming from sex amongst the gay population. I looked at my wife and said "Welp, she's cancelled!".

Apparently it can be spread by contact, and not just bodily fluids. That is how the two children got it (both children have a parent in open sexual relationships).
But say you work in an office and have a male co-worker who has multiple anonymous sexual encounters with other men. That co-worker gets the 'pox and then in a meeting they hand you something that they have been carrying that touched the monkeybox rash, or it is on the back of their hand and when you shake hands or fist-bump you come in contact with it, then you can apparently get it that way too.
