Well-known doctor says hospital in NY already out of ventilators

Expect deaths to spike in New York if that isn't rectified... putting multiple people on the same vent is apparently dangerous and prone to causing lung injuries or other serious problems.

There aren't that many deaths in NY. Several more at one small hospital is all I'm talking about. It's a serious issue that indicates some hospitals are already getting overwhelmed at this early stage.

This is what we fear. No hospital capacity. People sent home, only to be rushed back to the hospital and die.
Happened in SK, China, Italy, and probably Iran. We’d be foolish to think we’re above them. We have fewer hospital beds on average than 3 of the 4.

And with every profession, there’s a tendency to bullshite how wild things are for you at your location. I’d take this with a grain of salt.
The Pentagon found 2,000 vents in the garage this week. We have lots of vents versus our current cases.

There's not enough facts there to make anywhere near an educated assessment. Small hospital overrun could be a two bed ICU with three candidates.

There is a national ventilator stockpile. I think that has been activated now so I assume they can call for some, don't know how long it takes though. From reports there aren't that many in the stockpile though, so we will probably run out at some point.

If that's what you're basing "expect an increase in deaths in NY", then expect an increase of deaths in every state. You're making it sound like NY is about to have some giant jump in number of deaths because one SMALL hospital is overloaded.
