Also, the police statement says the officer attempted to stop Mr People’s but he would not cooperate and got in physical struggle with the officer. The officer was knocked to the ground and Mr.Peoples retrieved a hand gun from the drivers side door, at this point the officer drew his gun and fired a single round.
If I was his parent and actually loved him I would want to see the video to confirm it myself. But if those are the facts I would never want that video to be released to the public. But some people are too stupid for their own good. They don’t love that kid and they’re just hoping for a payday.

Forget the shooting itself, that was justified. My question is about reasonable suspicion of a crime. Is someone sitting in their car at night in a parking lot enough for reasonable suspicion?

Did someone call the police saying that there was a suspicious car?
Was the park open?

The Homewood Soccer Complex is where the shooting took place. The green arrow imposed on the image below shows the parking lot where the shooting occurred.
Though maintained by the City of Homewood, it is not a public park and use of the facility is restricted to teams associated with the Homewood Soccer Club or Homewood City Schools. As to reasonable suspicion, the officers claimed they smelled marijuana as they approached the vehicle.

I stand corrected.
There are two soccer fields maintained by the City of Homewood and I wrongly assumed it was the soccer facility at the larger athletic complex in West Homewood.
Yet the following news article confirms it was at the soccer facility off Lakeshore in the vicinity of Homewood High School:
Deadly officer-involved shooting clearly captured on bodycam, Homewood PD says; Family claims suspect not armed or aggressive…
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is in possession of body-worn camera footage that caught a deadly officer-involved shooting in Homewood.
The Homewood Police Department said the incident on Monday night ended with one man dead. According to the department, the officer shot the suspect because he feared for his life.
The veteran police officer was patrolling the Homewood Soccer Complex parking lot, located off Lakeshore Drive, around 9:30 p.m. Police reported an increase in criminal activity in and around athletic complexes….
