He stood against Trump and stood with Never Trumpers and the Democratic Party members like Pelosi, Schumer and the rest of the Capitol Gang.
Now in 2024 after the November election he has changed his tune.

Sadly you're 100% spot on. If it weren't for elderly parents and in-laws, I'd be in Texas or Tennessee. Or maybe northern Alabama. Definitely not still in Louisiana.

If another republican isn't picked, there will be a very heavier 'Republicans For (Insert Dem Candidate here)' than you saw against Vitter. Probably 3x as much.
He is absolutely reviled by the base. I don't think he understands, nor whomever his small group of supporters understands, but his seat WILL go blue if he's the candidate..
