“We gave up training exercises”

The screamers like Juan Williams keep saying this, and we only got promises and pledges in return.
Isn’t the cancelled exercise simply a pledge as well? We weren’t scheduled for tomorrow, right? They renig we renig, how hollow are these MFers?
This is what it sounds like when you’re bitter and have nothing.

They have to say something, and honestly there's no meat on the bone.
It's either:
"Muh exercises"
or
"Muh legitimization"
both are abject nonsense.

Juan is, of course, an idiot. If I offered any politician, any pundit, any citizen the following who says no?
The US gets a return of prisoners, the destruction of a nuclear testing facility, and the suspension of tests of nukes and ICBMs from DPRK.
DPRK gets a pledge that the US won't conduct war games in the Korean penninsula.

This is what I don’t get
If our pledge to not do training excercises is tangible, why isn’t kim’s Pledge?

It is odd that we would give up joint military exercises without getting anything in return. It's a valid criticism.
But again, we have to see where this is actually going. It will be months before we know whether this negotiation leads to actual success. It's too early to call it a success or a failure.

All the left needed was a little encouragement and now they are little Paul Wolfowitzes.

A suspension by definition is a temporary action.

So prisoners returned, destruction of a nuclear facility, and suspensions of testing is now known as nothing? Jesus. What do you define as a win for this summit?

Its Juan Williams, the dude lost all credibility years ago...if he had any at all.
I turn the channel almost every time his Faux Outrage and Gee Golly smug face come on.

You don't read good do you?
I said we will have to see where this leads. It's too early to declare it a success or a failure. North Korea has made these exact same promises in the past. If this discussion leads to an actual deal, and if North Korea sticks to its obligations this time, it will be an important success.

But Shep said it was security
Posted on 6/12/18 at 4:32 pm to TBoy
That's not what I asked. What was your definition of a winning outcome at the summit?
Posted on 6/12/18 at 4:32 pm to TBoy
We saved money on military spending by not doing the training which should make the dems happy.

You seriously have to ask this?
Holy fricking shite.
So the word of the US president now is no better than that of a two-bit despot.
